LUENSIS

Is one of a new generation of stylish and sophisticated luminaires designed to create a harmonious balance of illuminance within the whole of the VDT environment and not just at the workstation. This new approach to modular luminaire design not only offers a solution to the ‘good visual environment requirements contained in the Health and Safety (Display Screen) Regulations, but also creates excellent ceiling brightness impression an important part of CIBSE Lighting Guide 7: Office lighting which supersedes the revised CIBSE LG3:2001 addendum ‘The visual environment for screen use’. Utilising the ‘Luensis’ light distribution system of direct and indirect elements within a typical VDT environment achieves typically 30% Ceiling illuminance and 50% Wall illuminance of the 100% illuminance on the working plane from a single product source. The ‘Luensis’ photometric design characteristics allow it to be used in a wide range of environments where positive polarity software and VDT’s with a good or moderate screen treatment are in use. While creating a commercial lighting solution that optically performs we have also engineered a luminaire that conforms to the ‘Lighting Efficiency Standards’ within Part L2 Building Regulations. The combination of T5 lamps, high frequency control gear and light output ensure ‘Luensis’ is a complete VDT lighting solution.
